Practice presentation!

This morning Frida and I (see I got it right this time Lisa:) ) held one practice presentation each on the work we have done as our master's projects. It was scary but it all went pretty well. In the audience there were physicists, technicians and registrars. They had good questions afterwards and also some good comments on how we could improve our presentations. We are going to be stars back in Gothenburg :)

The day continued well. I looked through the comments I had gotten on my report and corrected most of it. Then we went on lunch with Tegan, Vincent and Sean. We went to Hans Cafe (a restaurant we have become very found of) one last time to discover that the restaurant has left the franchise concern and is no called something else. The food is still awesome. But the prices a dollar higher. (Which is no problem since Sean is paying. :) ) It was very good to meet Vincent and Tegan again. Tegan we are meeting more this weekend and on Monday but we will probably not meet Vincent again. This is where Facebook comes in very useful!

We have also been box hunting today. We are planning to send some things back to Sweden by post so that we dont have to carry it around on our trip in Victoria. Tegan has helped us understand the options we have, and she also told us that we dont have to by a box in the post office but can take any box and just tape it up properly. I went and asked one of the secretaries about where empty boxes can be found and once I had said the question the whole department was involved in finding proper boxes for us. We were adviced to find "Baxter" boxes, they are stable and foldable. Unfortunately the recyckling bins in the corridor was emptied so we had to get out on the back where trucks back up and deliver stuff and have a look in the pile where all the cartridge material is collected. In the end even the guys who works with maintainance stuff was involved in solving the problem. We had to stop them from giving us boxes since we only needed one. We have now got 5.

People are helpful in Australia :)
